Error message: You do not have permission to copy files...
The following message may appear when you choose your CD burner drive as your backup directory:
You do not have permission to copy files to this folder. Please contact your administrator.
This either means that your Windows CD/DVD writing software is disabled or the CD-RW or DVD-RW you’re trying to use isn't formatted with the CD/DVD writing software that's installed on your computer.
Solution
To resolve this issue, you must either:
- format the CD RW or DVD RW with the CD/DVD writing software you’ve installed
- enable the Windows CD/DVD Writing Software by completing the following steps:
- Open My Computer.
- Right-click on your CD RW or DVD RW drive and choose Properties.
- Select the Recording tab.
- Select the Enable CD Recording on this drive check box. The other options on the tab should automatically be setup.
- Click OK to return to the Properties window. The Windows CD/DVD Writing Software will be enabled.
- Back up AgExpert Analyst to a CD or DVD.
