Note: The display’s internal memory has 256 MB of capacity for field data.
A “USB Detected” message appears if the display recognizes the USB memory device. Read and accept the troubleshooting tips. Try the other USB port (if equiped) or a different USB memory device.
Note: The USB must be formatted to FAT or FAT32.

Exporting data from the display

When you export data from the display, the data profile is copied to the USB flash drive. You can use this option to:

  • back up documentation data to a USB flash drive
  • transfer setup information and guidance lines to another display
  • transfer setup information and guidance lines to compatible desktop software
  • transfer screen shots and debug files to a USB flash drive

Note: Your USB flash drive should have at least 1GB of free memory. Large data sets may take several minutes to transfer. Power loss or removing the USB during data transfer may cause data loss.

To export data from the display:

  1. Turn off all types of recording and stop the vehicle.
  2. Insert the USB flash drive.
  3. Data Transfer page appears within about 10 seconds.
Note: If the USB flash drive isn’t recognized, try the other USB port, format the USB flash drive (FAT or FAT32), or try a different USB flash drive.
  4. Select the Export Data option.
  5. Select or create a Profile Name where the data will be stored on the USB.
Note: If you export to an existing profile, it’ll overwrite all setup information and data in that profile except for the documentation files used by the desktop software.
It takes less time when you export repeatedly to the same profile because the documentation files (for example, As-applied and Yield map files) that are already in the profile on the USB aren’t exported again.
Note: Don’t use of the following characters (\ / : * ? " < >) when creating a profile name. These will cause the profile to fail to load to a display or Apex.
  6. Select Begin Transfer.
  7. When the data transfer is done, a Data Transfer is Complete message appears.
