Adding harvested grain to inventory

Harvested grain and inventory balances have to be adjusted during the year to produce an accurate net worth statement. To record the grain you’ve harvested by making an inventory adjustment:

  1. Select Inventory Adjustment from the Inventory menu. The Select Postable Account – Inventory dialogue box opens.
  2. Select the applicable inventory account. Click Select. The Inventory Adjustment dialogue box opens.
  3. Click the Adjust Quantity tab.
  4. Enter the DateReference and a Description, such as the type of harvested crop.
  5. Select Production from the Transaction type drop-down menu.
  6. Select the Grade.
  7. Enter the quantity harvested.

The system increases the inventory quantity by the amount harvested. The appropriate AgriStability inventory information is tracked by selecting the transaction type and the grade.

To view the balanced debit and credit entries, click Recap. Click Record to record the document
