Adding a pest control operation

  1. Select the land parcel (for example, Smith Quarter) from the land tree.
  2. Select Records and Enter an Operation.   The Operation dialogue box opens.
  3. Select Pest Control.
  4. Enter the General tab information.
  5. Select the Pest Control tab and complete the information.
  6. Click the binoculars icon. The Choose Pesticides dialogue box opens.
  7. Select the pesticide(s) from the Choose Pesticide list. You can filter the pesticide list by Type (for example, Weed). The pesticides you select will appear in the Name area. Click OK.
  8. Enter the Area the selected pesticide(s) was applied to.
      Note: You won’t be able to change this value when adding an operation where more than one land parcel was selected. It’ll be a total of the combined land parcels you selected.
  9. Enter the Rate of pesticide applied.
      Note: When you enter the rate, the Total pesticide used is calculated automatically. You can also enter the total amount of pesticide used and the program will calculate the rate the pesticide was applied. The rate and total units default to the units set up in the Pesticide Inputs dialogue box.
  10. Click Pests... (last column). The Pests dialogue box opens.Enter the amount of pests being controlled and the name(s), severity and growth stage. Click OK.
  11. Enter or select the Carrier of the pesticide.
  12. Enter the Water Volume used.
  13. Enter the Pressure the pesticide was applied at.
  14. Enter or select the Nozzle Type used on the applicator.
  15. Enter or select the Application Method.
  16. Select Label Instructions Followed if applicable.
  17. The Earliest Re-entry and Earliest Harvest dates will appear if you set up the days to re-entry and the PHI number in Pesticide Inputs.
  18. Enter any additional Notes for this pesticide management record.
  19. Click Save & Close.
