Using the report console

To access your reports:

  1. Select Report Console from the Reports menu. The report console appears.

It’s divided into two panels: the menu panel on the left and the options panel on the right.

  • The menu panel lists the reports you can select, by category. Select a category and then select the report you want to display.
  • The options panel allows you to customize your reports.
  • Click the Help icon to display the help topic for the current report.
  • Click Page view to generate your report. It will display in the report viewer.
  • Click Close to close the report console.

Using the report viewer

 You can use the report viewer to navigate reports:

  • Print - Click to print the report.
  • Export - Click to convert the report data into another format, such as text, Excel, HTML, RTF or PDF.
  • Note: If you’re exporting a report to Excel, PDF or HTML format, select Preferences from the Setupmenu and then select the Report drilldown option on the General tab.
  • Find - Click to search the report for a certain sequence of characters. Specify a search string and click Find Next to find any instance of the string in the report.
  • Single Page View - Click to display one page of the report at a time.
  • Multiple Page View - Click to display up to six pages of the report  at a time.
  • Zoom Out - Click to decrease the size of the report on screen. The default size is 100 per cent.
  • Zoom In - Click to increase the size of the report on screen.
  • Size - The size drop-down menu displays the current size of the report being displayed and allows you to change its size on the screen.
  • Previous Page - Click to display the previous page in the report.
  • Next Page - Click to display the next page in the report.
  • Page Indicator - This shows the current page being displayed and the total number of pages in the report. For example, if you’re on page 2 of a 12-page report, the page indicator will read 2/12. To jump to another page, enter the page number and press Enter on your keyboard. 

Viewing a report in table view 

To view a report in table view:

  1. Select Report Console from the Reports menu. The report console appears.
  2. Select the report you want to generate from the menu panel on the left.
  3. Select the appropriate options in the options panel on the right.
  4. Click Table View

The grid window has the following options:

  • Print - Click to print the report.
  • Export to Excel - Click to export the current report to Excel. You must have Excel installed on yourcomputer to use this feature.
  • Show/Hide Columns - Click to display the Columns dialogue box. You can customize the grid by hiding columns you don’t want to see. Clear the check boxes for the columns you want to hide and click OK.
  • Collapse/Expand - Click to expand items that have a + sign beside them; click again to collapse.
  • Group By – This allows you to sort the information based on the criteria of the selected report.
  • Column Headers - Click a column header to sort the grid information in ascending or descending order based on that column.
