Setting up and maintaining Enterprises

The Enterprises set-up module enables you to set up and maintain your business’s enterprises (profit centres). For example, you could have one enterprise for grain, another for cattle and a third for dairy. Enterprises breaks down your income and expenses by profit centre.

To enter your business’s enterprises, select Enterprises from the Setup menu. The Enterprises dialogue box appears, featuring the following options:

  • Name – This lists all enterprises currently set up in the data file.
  • Add – Click to add a new enterprise.
  • Edit – Select an enterprise and click Edit to modify it.
  • Delete – Select an enterprise and click Delete to delete it. You can’t delete an enterprise if it’s included in an enterprise split percentage. You must set the enterprise split percentage for every account to 0 before you can delete it.
  • Merge – Select an enterprise and click Merge to merge it with another enterprise.
  • Active - Select this check box to show enterprises that are currently in use.
  • Close – Click to close the Enterprises dialogue box.
