Recording pesticide inputs

The pesticide input list is used to record the pesticides applied during a pest control operation. In order for the program to provide you with accurate profit and loss reporting and input usage reporting, you’ll need to specify the pesticide and unit cost.

A separate list is maintained for each crop year.

To open the pesticides window, click Pesticide Inputs for (year) in the Setup menu.

Note: When you select a pesticide type from the Filter Pesticides drop-down menu on the left side of the window, all of the items that match the chosen type will appear in the Choose Pesticide list below.

To add a new item to the list, click  in the  menu. Enter the following information in the Detailssection and click Save or Save & Close.

Note: You can add a new item from a predefined list by selecting New From List or New From List (Organic) in the  menu, then selecting a pesticide from the list that appears and clicking OK

  • Name - enter the name of the pesticide input.
  • Organic - select this check box if the pesticide is organic.

Note: The conversion formula only appears if the program doesn’t know how to convert between the purchase unit and the application unit. For example, if you purchased Roundup by the jug for $100/jug but applied the Roundup by the litre, you would enter the number of litres in each jug.

  • Type - select the type of pesticide from the list or enter your own if it doesn’t appear. Once you add your own type, it will appear in the pesticide filter throughout the program. If you wish to modify an item in the list, click the pencil button and make the change.
  • Notes - enter any additional information about the pesticide input.

Note: The following options are not available if the Organic check box is selected.

  • Group(s) - enter the group(s) that the pesticide belongs to. For example, if you have a herbicide that contains glyphosate, enter 9.
  • PCP # - enter the Pest Control Product (PCP) number for the pesticide input.
  • Re-entry - enter the number of days until you may enter the field again after the pesticide isapplied.
