Customizing your general settings
The General Settings tab allows you to control security settings and messages generated by the software.
To open this window, select Software Preferences from the Setup menu.
- Display warning after - Enter a number between 1 and 100. A reminder to back up your data file will be sent to you every time this number of days has lapsed.
- Use password - Select this to password protect a data file. Enter an eight-character password in the field that appears, then enter the password a second time in the
- Confirm password field. You have to enter the password every time you open this data file.
- Enable Mobile data guard handheld protection - Check this if you want to deny mobile users the ability to delete data from the mobile device. This setting won’t take effect until the next time you synchronize the mobile device.
- Click Save to save the information.
- Click Save & Close to save the information and close the window.
