Setup > Setup Information > Adding a New CCA Class

To add a new CCA class go to More and Capital assets on the left navigation bar. From here, select CCA classes.

Click Add CCA class.

From the New CCA class window enter the following:

  • CCA class – Select the class from the drop-down list
  • Beginning balance – Enter the original undepreciated capital cost for the fiscal year.
  • User rate – Enter a percentage between 0 and the maximum CCA rate. You can use this rate instead of the maximum CCA rate in the CCA report.
  • Book value account – Select the capital asset account number.
  • Accumulated depreciation account – Select the accumulated depreciation account number.

See Setting up the chart of accounts for instructions on how to add a new account. You can only add an official CCA class, and duplicates cannot be added. Save your changes.
