Adding Historical Capital Assets

Historical capital assets are capital assets that existed before the setup of your books in AgExpert Accounting.  These assets do not need to be entered with a transaction.  Instead, you will set them up in the capital asset landing page.

To access the capital assets landing page, click More in the left navigation panel, then click Capital Assets.

To add a new asset, click Add a capital asset.

This will open the capital asset fly out screen.  Fill in as much information as possible about the capital asset, including the purchase price if known.

If you do not know what class to use for your capital asset, you can refer to the Canada Revenue Agency website for more information.

Once you have finished filling out all the required information, click on Save at the bottom of the fly out.

If you need to delete a capital asset that was entered historically, click the item on your capital asset list.  Click Delete at the bottom of the capital asset details screen.
