Setting Up and Maintaining Enterprises 

 

To set up your Enterprise recording, select Enterprises from the left menu.

  

Select one of the Add Enterprise buttons and enter in the name of an enterprise in the slide-out on the right.  Click Save when complete.  Repeat this process until you have the desired number of enterprises.

  

 

Alternatively, if you have previously set up enterprises in another fiscal year you can copy those percentages to this fiscal year with the Copy from another year button found in the upper right corner of the page.

  

Enter the allocation percentage for each of your enterprises for all appropriate Income and Expense categories. 

   

You can use the button in the Allocation total column to create an even split amongst all your enterprises.

  

 

The Clear splits button can be used to clear all the percentages in an enterprise.  It will reset every box in the enterprise column to 0.

 

The search filter will let you find specific accounts.

 

You can also filter just by Income or Expense accounts.

 

To delete an enterprise, select the name at the top of the column.

 

 

You will get a slide-out from the right of your screen.  Select the Delete button and confirm you want to delete the enterprise. 

 

To merge an enterprise with another, select the name at the top of the column.

 

 

You will get a slide-out from the right of your screen.  Select the Merge button and select the enterprise you wish to merge into from the drop-down menu.  Confirm you wish to merge the two enterprises.

 

As you make entries, you will be able to allocate any transaction that has income or expense lines by clicking the arrow on the right.  The default percentage will be applied from your original setup, but you can change each transaction to allocate any percentage necessary.

You can also allocate enterprises to general journal entries by clicking the arrow on the right.  The default percentage will be applied from your original setup, but you can change each entry to allocate any percentage necessary.

At the top of the Enterprise setup screen, you can see a visual representation of each enterprise's income and expense splits for quick reference.  You can show or hide this chart by clicking the arrow on the left of the section.
