Recording a pest observation

Use the pest observation feature to record sightings of and damage by insects, weeds and diseases on a particular land area. Accurate pest observations are useful in making pesticide application decisions. 

To add a pest observation:

1. Select your land from the land tree in the main dialogue box.
2. Select Enter a Pest Observation from the Records menu or click the  icon.
3. Select the General tab
4. Enter the following:
5. To add GIS co-ordinates for your observation, click the GIS tab.  This information is optional.
6. To add an image for your observation, click the Image tab. Note: If the Image tab isn’t visible, select Software Preferences from the Setup menu and then select the Operation/Observation tab. 
7. Load an image and/or draw your own sketch. This information is optional.
8. To add file links to your operation, select the Links tab.  This information is optional
9. Click Save & Close.

To edit a pest observation:

1. Select the land with the observation from your land tree.
2. Double-click the observation or click .
3. Select the General tab.
4. Make your desired changes.
5. Click Save & Close.

To delete a pest observation

1. Select the land with the observation from the land tree.
2. Select the observation.
3. Click the  icon, press Delete on your keyboard or open the observation record and click the  icon on the toolbar.
4. Click Save & Close.
