Splitting a data file
Splitting a data file allows you to archive previous crop years when the current data file becomes too large. All crop years up to and including the year you select are removed from the current data file and placed in an archived data file.
To split your data file:
- Select Split Data File from the Tools menu.
- Select the crop year to start archiving from.
- Click Split & Close.
- Click OK after the split is complete. Your updated current data file opens.
The archived data file is stored in the same location as your current data file. You can access it at any time.
