Fair Market Value
In prior versions, the fair market values of your assets and capital assets had to be entered manually at the beginning of each fiscal year. An update has been made to this screen to allow you to auto-fill your fair market value after starting your next fiscal year using the last numbers entered from your last fiscal year.
You can access your fair market values by clicking on Management > Fair Market Value. The first time that you access this feature in your new fiscal year, you will get a pop up that allows you to choose how to handle your new year’s fair market values.
If you wish to carry last year’s values into the current year, click on Use Last Year’s Values. If you would like to start with all assets and capital asserts with a fair market value of zero, click on Start Fresh.
